We recently announced that OzHadou will be teaming up with Bingefest for 24 hours of Street Fighter action on December 17th/18th and today we’re excited to share another sweet incentive to this Season 1 farewell Street Fighter V tournament.
Thanks to Samsung Australia, the winner of the bracket will walk away with both a Samsung Gear VR and a Samsung Galaxy S7. Additionally, the tournament format has changed to double elimination to create a fairer playing field for entrants.

OzHadou are pleased to announce that we will be partnering with Bingefest 2016 to bring 24 hours of Street Fighter action to the Opera House in just a couple of short weeks. Casual stations will be available for use throughout the entire event and there will also be a double elimination Street Fighter V tournament being run on the Sunday afternoon. Here are the details:
Date: Saturday December 17th – Sunday December 18th (11:30pm-11:30pm)
Tournament time: Sunday 4pm (signups from 1pm). Note that the tournament is double elimination
Location: Joan Sutherland Foyers, Sydney Opera House, Bennelong Point, Sydney NSW 2000
Entry Fee: Both the 24 hour Street Fighter binge and the Tournament is Free Entry.

GAMMA.CON 2016 will be taking place this weekend and it will feature a Street Fighter V tournament on PS4. For those who would like to register for Street Fighter V, you need to just come and see me (Vlade) at the Street Fighter V setups. Entry for SFV is free, here are the full details for the event:

Sonic Boom 4 concluded last weekend at Guf Brisbane and saw plenty of fierce Street Fighter V action. SuperPahnda was able to clutch the win with plenty of new and old faces in attendance.

Those hoping for more SFV action in Brisbane needn’t wait long, as Sonic Boom 5 has already been announced!
Friday Night Fights returns this Friday at Area 52 in Hobart. Doors open early for anyone who wants to get some casuals in before the Street Fighter V tournament at 6 pm.
This week there will also be a tournament for Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator. All characters including Raven and Kum are legal for this tournament.
Date: Friday, June 17th
Time: Casuals start 5.30pm; tournaments start at 6:00pm for SF5 and 7.30pm for GGXrd.

Entry Fee: $10 per tournament

The third instalment of Brisbane’s Sonic Boom series is happening at GUF Brisbane on June 12th. $5 gets you into the venue, and another $5 enters you into the tournament.
You’ll need to sign up on Challonge if you’re going to join in and, as always, be sure to help out the organisers by showing your interest on their Facebook page if you’re going.
Sonic Boom is a PC event, not PS4, so avoid disappointment by checking in advance that your stick or controller will work on the day.
Date: Sunday, June 12th.
Time: Doors open at 11 am, tournament begins at 12 pm.

South Australian Fighting Game Community‘s 2016 season is underway this Sunday featuring a number of Main Card and Minor Card games. Main Cards will receive a $500 pot bonus for finals at the end of the season after 6 rounds, at Southern Cross Championships in Q4 of 2016. The titles and details for the event are as follows:
