[Adel] SAFGC Tournament Season 2016: Round 6 – November 13th

The South Australian Fighting Game Community‘s 2016 season continues this Sunday featuring a number of Main Card and Minor Card games. Main Cards will receive a $500 pot bonus for finals at the end of the season after 6 rounds, at Southern Cross Championships in December. The titles and details for the event are as follows:

Main Card titles:

  • Street Fighter V
  • Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee
Minor Card titles:

  • Project M
  • Super Smash Bros. 64
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (doubles)
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee (doubles)

The South Australian Fighting Game Community has announced the dates for the remainder of its 2016 tournament season. The main card games this season are Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

Here is a rundown of when each event will be taking place, along with links to the corresponding event pages on Facebook.

Here are the other standard details for each round of the season. Note that brackets in the Finals round will be limited to the top ranked players are the end of Round 6, with casual play open to all attendees.

[Woll] EXPAND GONG – Schedule, News, Registration

The Wollongong FGC recently announced fresh details for EXPAND GONG, their first ever major tournament taking place in Wollongong on the first weekend in April.

First up the official tournament schedule has been announced. Check the schedule post on Facebook to find out when casual and tournament play will be available for each of the games at the tournament including SF5, MKX and Smash Bros.

On the prizes front, pot bonuses have been announced for all of the main tournaments at EXPAND GONG, ranging from $100 up to $400 as detailed below.

[Woll] EXPAND GONG – April 2nd-3rd

The Wollongong FGC is holding the city’s first ever major fighting game tournament this April. EXPAND GONG will be held at the University of Wollongong. Travel time from Sydney is around 90 minutes. UOW is readily accessible by train (via North Wollongong station) and car, with plenty of parking available on and around campus.

The event will including tournaments for Street Fighter V, Mortal Kombat X and Super Smash Bros. Tournament entry fees will be awarded to the top 3 players in each tournament using a standard 60/30/10 distribution.

Date: Saturday, April 2nd – Sunday, April 3rd
Time: 9:00am – 7.00pm each day
Location: Building 11, University of Wollongong, Northfields Ave, Wollongong, NSW 2522
Entry Fee: $20 venue fee, plus $10 entry fee per tournament
