OHN5 Results

OHN5 is long since over. The tournament was a huge success, and the organisers thank everyone that participated, including the organisers, sponsers, volunteers, players and competitors.

Prepayment Closing Soon

Bonus Prizes

A number of bonus prizes have been donated for use at OHN5. There are bonus prizes available for the SF3:3S, ST, MvC2 and CvS2 singles tournaments, as well as the SF3:3S and T5 team tournaments.

In addition, the Best Player awards return to OHN, this time in the form of a Best Capcom Player (BCP) competition. Anyone that enters all four singles tournaments for Capcom games (SF3:3S, ST, MvC2 and CvS2) will be in the running to win a complete MvC2 Naomi kit, valued at $1,300. This prize has been donated to OHN by » SNK-Capcom.

OHN5 Updates - Venue and Schedule

The venue for OHN5 has been changed to the Gallery Function Centre. This is the same great location that hosted console events for OHN3 and OHN4, and will provide an excellent space with great atmosphere for all the weekend events.

The tournament schedule has also been updated to include T5:DR on Friday night, the T5 team tournament on Saturday, and new times for the SF3:3S exhibitions and GGXX/ tournament on Sunday.

Tekken 5 2-on-2 Team Tournament added

Since T5:DR is now being run at Galaxy World, George St on Friday, 30th June, we have added an official Tekken 5 Team Tournament to the OHN5 line-up.

This will be run on Sat 1st July at the OHN5 venue using PS2 consoles. This is a 2-on-2 competition, run using the a-cho team tournament rules.

T5:DR - new location, date, entry fee

The Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection tournament will now be held at Galaxy World, George St on the evening of Friday, 30th June. The starting time will be announced here in the near future.

The tournament rules and prizes are unchanged, but there are now 2 entry fee options for players entering DR.
  1. Free entry for anyone that has prepaid $25 to enter the OHN5 venue; or
  2. $10 for anyone that does not prepay to enter the OHN5 venue.
Since the tournament is now at Galaxy World, players do not need to pay the OHN5 venue entry fee for Sat and Sun if they only wish to attend DR. Those DR players that plan on entering the OHN5 venue will save a total of $20 by prepaying the OHN5 venue entry fee.

The official schedule for OHN5 will be updated to reflect the changes to DR as soon as possible.

SF3:3S Tournament Rules Updated

empire arcadia cancels OHN5 team

Empire Arcadia has » cancelled their plans to send Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz to compete in OHN5.

The OHN5 organisers are very disappointed by this turn of events. Despite doing everything in our power to avoid this situation, the matter has been taken entirely out of our hands. Full details concerning the cancellation can be found » in this thread.

OHN5 will still take place as planned despite this loss, although we will naturally be cancelling all Australia vs Empire exhibitions. An updated schedule will be made available in the near future.

We on the OHN5 team offer our most sincere apologies to anyone that has been adversely affected by this unfortunate turn of events.

empire arcadia team announced

TFGM has now » confirmed that the team representing » Empire Arcadia at OHN5 will comprise of Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz.

Justin and Ricky have been EVO finalists in SF3:3S, CvS2 and MvC2 on numerous occassions. Justin has also been an EVO finalist in ST, and both players have represented the USA in 3S at SBO, including the recently held SBO4. They are two of the best all-round Street Fighter players in the US, and are expected to put up a fierce fight on behalf of Empire Arcadia.

We look forward to welcoming Justin and Ricky to Sydney for OHN5 this July.
