A little late, but just in time for Blazblue Cross Tag Battle’s 3 DLC packs, YSB comes again on the 23rd of June! Be sure to come and have a day full of casuals and tournaments with the newly released Street Fighter 30th Anniversary collection, Dragon Ball FighterZ fusions and newly patched Tekken 7!
Registration for YSB is performed via the Smash.GG portal (https://smash.gg/ysb61), where you can pay using a debit or credit card. Even if you are paying cash on the day, you can sign up online to make sure you’re in all your brackets ahead of time and then fix it up with the door staff upon arrival. Please make sure all tournament fees are fixed prior to the start of the tournament or you will be disqualified from the bracket.
Doors open for registration at 11am. Centralised registration on the day will cease at 1pm so if you arrive after that, please find one of the tournament organisers around and sign up via one of us. Spectators may attend for free, but if they end up wanting to play on any setup, they must pay the entry fee before doing so.
Tournament times for this month are as follows:
*note: Registration closes 10 minutes prior to tournament time, please make sure you’re early so you don’t miss out
1:00pm – Dragon Ball FighterZ, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle
2:00pm – Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown, Mortal Kombat XL, Skullgirls 2nd Encore
3:00pm – Tekken 7 3-on-3 Teams, Street Fighter V, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st], Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3
5:00pm – Guilty Gear Xrd REV2 , Super Street Fighter II Turbo, Injustice 2
Tournament participation is optional and tournaments will only be run if there are a sufficient number of entrants for each bracket on the day. Signups will open 30 minutes before each scheduled start time and close 10 minutes before the bracket is scheduled to start, look for a YSB staff member to register. The tournament fee for SFV, DBFZ and Tekken 7 is $5 with the entry distributed to the top 3 players. Tournament fees for other games are up to the organiser of each respective tournament and will be decided on the day
In addition to the listed tournaments, there will be plenty of casuals available for a variety of games on the day. If you’d like to co-ordinate casuals or a tournament for a particular game, drop a comment on the Facebook event or speak to a YSB staff member on the day and we’ll be more than happy to try and co-ordinate a setup. BYO set-ups are also strongly encouraged.
See you there!
