Sonic Boom 18 concluded last week and Katabami was able to clutch his second consecutive tournament with Guile over Team Solid’s Jae6. With BAM9 just around the corner, it’s great to see Queensland’s competition remain fierce before Australia’s next big major. We’ve got the top 3 below

[Adel] Street Fighter V (Apr 9) & Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Apr 6) @ E-Sports Gym Results

Another week of ESG tournaments has come and gone, once again featuring Street Fighter V as well as their first ever tournament for Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Duc was able to take it out over DS | Falco in Street Fighter V and Godzilla brought home the inaugural win for TTT2. We’ve got the top 3 for both games and brackets below.

ESG’s weekly Sunday Street Fighter V wrapped up again last weekend with A1 finally being able to clutch out a victory over Jstchan. There was also a bonus bracket for Blazblue which was won by Giggles. We’ve got the top 3 for both games and brackets below.

Sonic Boom 17 wrapped up last week and once again a new champion was crowned in Katabami’s Guile. He was able to clutch it out over Shinomome’s Ibuki, with Kewlkats rounding out the top 3 with a duo of top tier character selections in Urien and Balrog.

[ONLINE] Aki Cup – Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Round Robin Tournament – April 13th

After the great success that was Natsu Cup, Australia’s Third Strike community has announced the second of four online round robin tournament, the Aki Cup. 2 groups of 5 players will compete online over Fightcade in a round robin format and the leading player of each group at the end of the Cup will receive a donation of $250 to be made out to a licensed charity of their choosing. This series of online tournaments is a step in the right direction for competitive Third Strike and a labour of love by the 3S community that goes towards a wonderful cause. The tournament commences on April 13th and sign up has opened.
